Seed Week: Growing through lockdown
From 18th to 22nd of January, seed savers and gardeners from across the country will celebrate Seed Week, an annual online event highlighting the essential work of organic and agro-ecological seed producers and sellers selecting and growing the finest seed across the UK and Ireland.

Regional Schedule
While promoting seed sovereignty and the work of the programme in general, Seed Week 2021 will take a regional day-by-day focus to put the spotlight on growers of seed across our nations. There are a few key highlight events/launches planned:
Monday 18th
- Focus on S.E. England, led by Helene Schulze. Featuring the work of London Freedom Seedbank.
- Promotion of Saving Seed– a four-week introductory course to saving seed for growers and gardeners in Southeast England. See here.
Tuesday 19th
- Focus on S.W. England, led by Robyn Minogue. Featuring the work of Vital Seeds and the South West Seed Savers.
Wednesday 20th
- Focus on Wales, led by Katie Hastings. Featuring the work of Real Seeds and the Llafur Ni (Our Grains) Network.
- Launch of Gaia’s Llafur Ni short film.

Thursday 21st
- Focus on N. England, led by Charlie Gray. Featuring the work of the Lancaster Seed Library.
Friday 22nd
- Focus on Scotland, led by Richie Walsh and Maria Scholten. Featuring the work of Glasgow Seed Library and others.
Supporting a biodiverse and ecologically sustainable seed system across Britain & Ireland. Because a food revolution starts with seed.
