The Twelve Tissue Salts for Livestock Growth and Development
What are Tissue Salts?
Schuessler’s Tissue Salts (also known as biochemic or cell salts) are potentised micro-doses of the 12 essential minerals the body needs to repair and maintain itself. They are prepared in homeopathic 6X potencies.
Benefits of Tissue Salts
- Act as ‘cellular nutrition’ for optimum function of tissues and organs
- Easily absorbed
- Boost immunity and healthy growth
- Essential for youngstock and pregnant females
How to use Tissue Salts
Farmers find the easiest way to administer tissue salts is in the water trough. Use approx 10 tablets crushed into a bottle of water; shake vigorously and add all the water to the trough. Repeat daily for several weeks or months to see benefits.
The 12 TIssue Salts
#1 Calc Fluor – calcium fluoride
- Vital in the formation of healthy bone and tooth growth, elastic fibres, and skin
- Strengthens teeth, tendons and ligaments
- Can resolve hardened tissues and glands
#2 Calc Phos – calcium phosphate
- Vital for bone and tooth formation
- Important for digestion and assimilation of nutrients
- Combines well with Silica and Calc Fluor for growing youngstock
#3 Calc Sulph – calcium sulphate
- For treating suppurations
- An eliminator of infected matter
- For abscesses with a ‘vent’
#4 Ferrum Phos – iron phosphate
- Early stages of inflammation and fever
- Affinity for oxygen and carries it to all parts of the body
- Important agent in all diseases relating to lungs and blood
#5 Kali Mur – potassium chloride
- Second stage of inflammatory diseases, pneumonia, glandular swellings
- White/grey discharge or thick, white, fibrinous slime or phlegm
#6 Kali Phos – potassium phosphate
- A constituent of all fluids and tissues, especially nerves, brain, muscles, and blood
- Used to treat the results of a want of ‘nerve power’ – as seen in prostration
#7 Kali Sulph – potassium sulphate
- Carrier of oxygen
- Third stage of inflammation
- Light yellow, sticky and watery secretions
- Useful in bronchitis, pneumonia and skin diseases
#8 Mag Phos – magnesium phosphate
- A constituent of muscles, nerves, brain, bone, spine, teeth and blood corpuscles
- Resolves pain of spasms, cramps, and convulsions
#9 Nat Mur – sodium chloride
- Manages the water balance in all cells
- Profoundly affects nutrition and can have a picture of malnutrition and emaciation, even when eating enormously
#10 Nat Phos – sodium phosphate
- Supports digestive tract
- Important for ‘wormy’ animals
- Useful for loss of vital fluids (i.e. scours)
#11 Nat Sulph – sodium sulphate
- Secures elimination of water from an organ
- Affinity to elimination and digestive problems, liver and pancreatic issues
- Liver support
#12 Silicea – silica
- Acts upon bones, joints, glands, skin, and mucous surfaces
- Improves assimilation of nutrients
- Essential to harden hooves
- Improves resistance to infection
